A 6.7 magnitude earthquake hits off Indonesia
An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 struck off the western coast of Sumatra island on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 257 kilometers south of Sinaban, a town on the east coast of Simeulue Island, which lies off the western coast of Sumatra, at a depth of 10 kilometers, EMSC said.
No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake.
There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake. (ILKHA)
