25 kg of heroin seized in eastern Turkey
Turkish security forces have seized 25 kg of heroin in the Çaldıran district of Turkey’s eastern Van province, the governor’s office said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, 25 kilograms of heroin were seized in a field in the Sarıçimen neighborhood of the district.
The operation is ongoing to nab the fugitive suspects, the officials said.
Turkey maintains strict laws against the use, possession, or trafficking of illegal drugs. If convicted under these offenses, one could receive a heavy fine or a prison sentence of 4 to 24 years. (ILKHA)
