Indonesia's military lost contact with a navy submarine
Indonesia's military announced that KRI Nanggala 402 submarine is missing near the resort island of Bali with 53 people on board.
KRI Nanggala was participating in a torpedo drill, said Military chief Hadi Tjahjanto.
“The last contact with the missing submarine was 03.00 WITA (Central Indonesian Time) Wednesday,” Tjahjanto noted.
The German-built submarine was manufactured in 1979 and has been in service since 1981.
