Agricultural Input Price Index rises by 19.60% in Turkey
Agricultural Input Price Index (Agricultural-IPI) increased by 19.60% annually and 1.40% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Wednesday.
Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 1.40% compared to the previous month, increased by 3.39% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 19.60% compared to the same month of the previous year, and increased by 11.57% compared to twelve months averages, in February 2021.
Monthly changes with respect to the previous month by main groups, goods, and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 1.30%, and goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 1.41%.
The goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 19.16% and goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 22.33% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The highest annual increase was 36.21% in the fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
The other subgroups that indicated high increase were farm buildings with 29.42% and maintenance of materials with 29.00%.
On the other hand, seed and planting stock with 2.59%, energy; lubricants with 7.43% and veterinary expenses with 9.02% were the subgroups that low annual increase realized.
The highest monthly increase was 5.96% in fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
By the other subgroups that indicated high increase were veterinary expenses with 3.33% and materials with 1.97%.
On the other hand, energy; lubricants with 0.14% and other goods and services with 0.43% were the subgroups which low monthly increase realized. Maintenance of materials with 2.27% and farm buildings with 0.24% were the subgroups that monthly decrease realized. (ILKHA)
