At least 12 people including a child and 3 women, have died, over 100 houses have razed after a tanker laden with petrol exploded at Oshigbudu in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue state.

The tanker was travelling from Oweto and heading towards Otukpo when the driver lost control of the truck and it fell over spilling its content at the Oshigbudu/Obagaji junction, local sources reported.
According to an eyewitness, many local shops, shops, and properties were destroyed in the inferno. (ILKHA)
