Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 2.52%, on December of the previous year increased by 8.39%, on same month of the previous year increased by 22.06% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 17.68% in March 2021.

Compared to the previous month in sectors; fishing products and other fishing products increased by 1.93%, products of agriculture, hunting and related services increased by 2.47% and forestry products and related services increased by 5.72%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 0.27%, live animals and animal products increased by 1.07% and perennial crops increased by 7.93%.

The highest annual increase was 38.68% in fiber plants subgroup

In March 2021, citrus fruits with 38.65% and poultry, live and eggs with 30.62% were the subgroups where high increases realized. On the other hand, other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 1.15% was the only subgroup where monthly decrease realized. Vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 2.41%, oleaginous fruits with 14.98% and dairy cattle, live and raw milk from dairy cattle with 15.60% were the subgroups that indicated low annual increase.

The highest monthly increase was 7.95% in citrus fruits subgroup

In March 2021, fiber plants with 2.41%, sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats with 1.63% and dairy cattle, live and raw milk from dairy cattle with 1.34% were the subgroups where high increases realized. On the other hand, other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 19.98%, rice (in hulk) with 4.21%, poultry, live and eggs with 2.37% and oleaginous fruits with 1.23% were the subgroups where monthly decrease realized.

In March 2021 within average prices of 81 items in the index; the average prices of 26 items decreased and the average prices of 3 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 52 items increased. (ILKHA)
