A 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolts North Island of New Zealand
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre announced that a 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit off North Island of New Zealand on Monday.
The earthquake occurred at around 07:37 UTC, with its epicenter at a latitude of 37.51 degrees south and a longitude of 179.38 degrees east, and at a depth of 51 km.

The earthquake was felt across the North Island of New Zealand, especially along the east coast.
