Global coronavirus death toll rises to 2,866,629
At least 131,937,734 people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus-related fatalities with 568,777 deaths, followed by Brazil with 331,530 deaths, Mexico with 204,147 deaths, and India with 165,132 deaths.
At least 106,234,345 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospitals worldwide. (ILKHA)
