Car rams US Capitol barricade and driver stabs police officer
The United States Capitol and congressional office buildings were locked down after a car rammed into a security barricade, injuring two police officers.
A suspect drove a vehicle into two Capitol Police officers. After he rammed the barricade, he exited the vehicle with a knife, stabbed one of the officers and was shot by police.
“USCP is responding to the North Barricade vehicle access point along Independence Avenue for reports someone rammed a vehicle into two USCP officers. A suspect is in custody. Both officers are injured. All three have been transported to the hospital,” the U.S. Capitol Police tweeted.

The suspect was taken into custody. He and the officers were rushed to the hospital. Several media outlets claimed that the suspect had died. (ILKHA)
