Turkish police seize 31 kg of heroin in Şanlıurfa
Turkish security forces have seized 31 kg of heroin in Şanlıurfa province of eastern Turkey.

According to Provincial Police Department, the heroin was seized from a truck on Şanlıurfa- Gaziantep highway.
One suspect was taken into custody for drug trafficking.
Turkey maintains strict laws against the use, possession, or trafficking of illegal drugs. If convicted under these offenses, one could receive a heavy fine or a prison sentence of 4 to 24 years. (ILKHA)
