Turkey: Economic confidence index realizes as 98.9 in March
The economic confidence index which was 95.8 in February increased by 3.3% in March to 98.9, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Wednesday.
This increase in the economic confidence index stemmed from the increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, and retail trade confidence indices, according to the statement.
The consumer confidence index increased by 2.5% and became 86.7, the real sector confidence index increased by 1.4% and became 110.2, the services confidence index increased by 5.1% and became 105.5, the retail trade confidence index increased by 0.2% and became 109.2 in March compared to the previous month. On the other hand, the construction confidence index decreased by 4.0% and became 79.8. (ILKHA)
