Armenia's PM Nikol Pashinyan to step down in April
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he will step down in April, ahead of snap parliamentary elections in the country.
“I will resign very soon, in April — not to leave power, but early parliamentary elections to take place. Until they happen, I will remain a caretaker prime minister," Pashinyan said.
Pashinyan confronted street protests after he signed a ceasefire deal with Azerbaijan to end the fighting over Nagorno Karabakh which started in late September.
Protesters demanded his resignation calling him “a traitor” and the deal “a betrayal”. (ILKHA)
