Turkey’s Defense Ministry: 5 civilians killed in Assad regime attack on Al Atarib hospital
At least five civilians, including a child, were killed when Syrian regime forces fired on a hospital in Idlib province, the Turkish Defense Ministry said.
“The Assad regime carried out a brutal attack against innocent Syrian civilians. The artillery attack killed 5 civilians, including a child in a hospital in Al Atarib. The regime that committed a crime against humanity by attacking a hospital also injured 10 civilians,” the Ministry tweeted on Sunday.

“Syrian regime forces shelled hit the hospital’s entrance and perimeter, killing five civilians including a child and a medic,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
The death toll is expected to rise further as the bombardment left over 11 people injured, some seriously, SOHR added.
The injured people are civilians and medics of the hospital, including the director of the “Health Department of the Free Aleppo”, according to local sources.
Idlib, which is home to 2.9 million people, is under the control of the Syrian Salvation Government affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. (ILKHA)
