At least 58 civilians killed in Niger
Gunmen attacked a group of civilians returning home on Monday from a large livestock market in Banibangou, near Niger's troubled border with Mali.

The attacks occurred in the Tillabery region near the border with Mali, said government spokesman Abdourahmane Zakaria in an announcement on Niger state television on Tuesday evening.
