Milk collected by integrated dairies in Turkey increases by 10% in January
The amount of collected cow's milk in January increased by 10% when compared to the same month of the previous year, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, in January, the average fat rate of cow's milk collected by integrated dairies was 3.5%, the average rate of protein was 3.3%.
In January, drinking milk production by integrated dairies decreased by 0.9% and became 144 thousand 932 tons when compared to the same month of the previous year.
In January, yogurt production by integrated dairies increased by 3.6% and became 95 thousand 289 tons when compared to the same month of the previous year.
In January, while mixed milk cheese (cheese production obtained from which includes sheep, goat, buffalo, and mixed milk) increasing by 89.2%, skimmed milk powder production increasing by 14.7%, cream production increasing by 12.2%, whole milk powder production increasing by 7.5% and cheese production from cow's milk increasing by 5.1%, butter production decreased by 12.1% and drink made of yogurt (ayran) production decreased by 22.6% when compared to the same month of the previous year.
