Turkey: Chicken meat production decreases by 4.6 in January
Chicken meat production was 173 thousand 290 tons, hen egg production was 1.7 billion units, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Thursday.
Hen egg production decreased by 4.6%, chicken meat production decreased by 5.7%, the number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 6.5% and turkey meat production decreased by 26.4% in January compared with the same month of the previous year.
Chicken meat production decreased by 4.6% in January compared with the previous month and realized as 173 thousand 290 tons.
The number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 4.2% in January compared with the previous month and realized as 96 million 185 thousand units.
Hen egg production decreased by 2.5% in January compared with the previous month and realized as 1.7 billion units.
Turkey meat production decreased by 25.8% in January compared with the previous month and realized as 3 thousand 465 tons. (ILKHA)
