Death toll from Equatorial Guinea blast rises to 20
At least 20 people were killed and more than 600 others injured in a series of explosions at a military barracks in Equatorial Guinea.
President Teodoro Obiang Nguema said that the explosion came from negligent handling of dynamite in the military barracks located in the neighborhood of Mondong Nkuantoma in Bata.
200 injuries have been reported at the Nuevo Inseso Hospital, 150 more at the Bata General Hospital, and 70 at the La Paz Hospital, according to the country’s health ministry.
An investigation into the incident has been launched, Nguema said. (ILKHA)
