Turkey’s chicken meat production decreases in December 2020
Chicken meat production was 181 thousand 725 tons, hen egg production was 1.7 billion units, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, hen egg production decreased by 0.5%, chicken meat production decreased by 1.4%, the number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 3.1% and turkey meat production decreased by 21.7% in December compared with the same month of the previous year.
Chicken meat production decreased by 0.1%, the number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 0.5%, hen egg production decreased by 0.6% and turkey meat production decreased by 2.4% in the January-December period compared with the same period of the previous year.
Chicken meat production increased by 7% in December compared with the previous month and realized as 181 thousand 725 tons.
The number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 5.4% in December compared with the previous month and realized as 100 million 414 thousand units.
Hen egg production increased by 2.7% in December compared with the previous month and realized as 1.7 billion units.
The turkey meat production increased by 1.8% in December compared with the previous month and realized as 4 thousand 670 tons. (ILKHA)
