An al-Qaida-affiliated group allegedly attacked a military camp at Boni, located between Douentza and Hombori in the Mopti region, killing 10 soldiers and injuring several others.

The camp has been seriously damaged and the assailants have made off with lots of equipment, according to local sources.

The attackers have suffered major casualties, a Malian military official said, without giving any details.

No group has so far claimed the responsibility for the attack. (ILKHA)
