Turkey’s domestic producer price index rises by 26.16% on annual basis
The domestic producer price index (D-PPI) increased by 26.16% on annual basis, increased by 2.66% on monthly basis, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced on Wednesday.
D-PPI (2003=100) increased by 2.66% on monthly basis, increased by 2.66% on December of the previous year basis, increased by 26.16% on the same month of the previous year basis, and increased by 13.64% on the twelve months moving averages basis in January 2021
Manufacturing increased by 28.42% annually
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 19.17% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 28.42% for manufacturing, increased by 0.02% for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, increased by 25.88% for water supply, annually.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 34.08% for intermediate goods, increased by 29.87% for durable consumer goods, increased by 21.02% for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 3.22% for energy, increased by 28.34% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing increased by 2.73% monthly
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 2.46% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 2.73% for manufacturing, increased by 0.72% for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, increased by 15.61% for water supply, monthly.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 2.25% for intermediate goods, increased by 4.34% for durable consumer goods, increased by 3.28% for non-durable consumer goods, increased by 2.99% for energy, increased by 1.48% for capital goods, monthly.
The lowest annual increase was in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning by 0.02%
The lowest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning by 0.02%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 3.39%, for coke and refined petroleum products by 3.41%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for basic metals by 56.85%, for paper and paper products by 42.55%, for metal ores by 42.28%.
The highest monthly decrease was in metal ores by 1.61%
The highest rates of monthly decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were index for metal ores by 1.61% for computer, electronic and optical products by 0.31%, for other manufactured goods by 0.18%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were water; water treatment, and supply services by 15.61%, for Tobacco products by 15.44%, other transport equipment by 10.15%. (ILKHA)
