Magnitude-5.2 earthquake strikes Japan
A magnitude-5.2 earthquake occurred in southern Hokkaido, Japan, at 14:06 on Wednesday, Japan Meteorological Agency announced.
The epicenter of the earthquake was about 31 km (19 miles) east-southeast of Chitose at a depth of 123 km (76 miles).
There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties.
The earthquake poses no tsunami risk, according to the agency. (ILKHA)
