Global coronavirus death toll surpasses 2,1 million
At least 98,789,849 people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus related fatalities with 424,177 deaths, followed by Brazil with 215,299 deaths, India with 153,221 deaths and Mexico with 147,614 deaths.
At least 70,998,894 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide. (ILKHA)
