A 5.0 magnitude earthquake jolts Cyprus island
A 5.0 magnitude earthquake hit Thursday the Gazimagusa (Famagusta) town of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 17:27 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 35.1145 degrees north and a longitude of 33.7110 degrees east, and at a depth of 55.68 km.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, according to the local sources. (ILKHA)
