9 Iraqi military forces killed in airstrikes in Babil
Nine Iraqi forces have apparently been killed in airstrikes against the positions of the country’s military units in Jurf al-Sakhar, Babil province, local sources said on Tuesday.
At least four explosions were heard in Jurf al-Sakhar region, according to local sources.
The airstrikes were apparently carried out by F-16 warplanes and drones, sources close to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), a.k.a. Hashd al-Sha’abi, stated.
Although the Pentagon did not respond to a request for comment, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it was not aware of any strikes in Iraq, according to a Reuters reporter in Washington. (ILKHA)
