In his weekly statement on external developments, Yapıcıoğlu have made important evaluations regarding the rising of Islamophobia in Europe, the war crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as the normalization agreements with the zionist occupation regime.

Anti-Islam in Europe

“Violence against Muslims is increasing day by day in European countries that have become the center of anti-Islamism. The martyrdom of a Pakistani imam in Germany and the violence by the security forces against a woman wearing a headscarf and the call made by a right-wing party in France to ban headscarf in universities show that Anti-Islamism has turned into a de facto Islamophobia. The attacks launched by fascist politicians and militias cannot be explained simply by marginal excess. The fascist gangs are encouraged due to lack of measures against aggressive anti-Islamic actions in Europe,” Yapıcıoğlu said, noting that the silence of the administrations against the attacks shows that the main target is the elimination of Islam from Europe.

Yapıcıoğlu underlined that, in line with this goal, which has become a state policy in some European countries, legal regulations had been made to protect Islamophobia.

“There has been no remarkable reaction from the Islamic world against these actions. In fact, some loser types who are admirers of the West in our country have tried to justify their hatred of Islam and Muslims. Some of those in charge of serving the public attempted to invite and reward the attackers with different excuses. The Islamic world must band together against the rising Islamophobia in Europe, and a strong mechanism must be established to protect the freedom of belief and worship of Muslims.”

War crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq

Touching on the war crimes committed by occupation forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, Yapıcığlu went on to say: “After the war crimes committed by Australian special forces soldiers in Afghanistan were revealed, a Dutch soldier also admitted that they massacred civilians in Afghanistan. Previously, the Attorney General of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Appeals Office, Fatou Bensuda, had ruled that he could investigate war crimes committed by the US military and its allies in Afghanistan. However, the USA decided to sanction the ICC employees. To add insult to injury, US President Trump pardoned the hired killers of the private war company that killed civilians in Iraq recently.”

“Confessions and documents revealed that the USA and its allies committed war crimes against civilians in Afghanistan. Thousands of civilians who were deliberately targeted were massacred in Afghanistan and Iraq, which were intervened on the grounds of ‘stabilizing’. Today, these killer states within NATO still continue their occupation and massacre, condemning the countries they occupy to instability. Divided by internal conflicts, the administrations of Islamic countries, who are unable to get together, are also responsible for these massacres. The Islamic world should be able to solve its own problems, be against the intervention of the occupying forces in the Islamic lands, and the murderers who have committed war crimes should be brought to justice.”

Normalization agreements with the zionist occupation regime

Yapıcıoğlu also criticized the countries that signed the normalization agreements with the zionist occupation regime.

“Despite all warnings, new countries are joining the countries that betrayed the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine under the name of normalization with the Zionist occupation regime. On the other hand, we witness that the Islamic countries, which display an honorable and dignified stance, push back all kinds of pressure, blackmail and bribes of the USA,” Yapıcıoğlu said, adding that their dignified stance added strength to the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine.

“Tunisian and Algerian governments are also threatened to join this treason union. But alhamdulillah the stance of these two countries so far is admirable. Last week, Tunisia and Algeria did not allow the plane, which took off from Tel Aviv to Rabat, Morocco, to pass through their airspace. This attitude worries the Zionist regime and gives hope to the Palestinian people. Our hope is that this honorable attitude will set an example for countries that join or are considering joining the betrayal union,” Yapıcıoğlu concluded. (ILKHA)
