Global coronavirus death toll surpasses 1,7 million
At least 77,718,158 people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus related fatalities with 326,772 deaths, followed by Brazil with 187,322 deaths, India with 146,145 deaths and Mexico with 118,598 deaths.
At least 54,593,404 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide. (ILKHA)
