HAMAS welcomes EU delegation’s visit to Gaza
HAMAS on Monday welcomed the visit by European Union’s ambassadors to Gaza slated for Tuesday to follow up on the disastrous humanitarian situation there especially in light of the spread of the Coronavirus in the besieged enclave.
It warned that health officials in the Gaza Strip indicate that the worse was still to come in the spread of the pandemic especially with the scarcity of basic medical needs including kits to test for the presence of the virus.
HAMAS reaffirmed that the deteriorating conditions in the beleaguered enclave is due to the illegal zionist occupation and siege, adding that it threatened all aspects of life in the Strip.
It hoped that the visit would lead to practical steps that would force the occupation to immediately and unconditionally end its siege and would lead to allocating enough funds to combat the pandemic and the other numerous humanitarian crises plaguing the coastal enclave. (ILKHA)
