Urging citizens to wear masks, maintain social distance and pay attention to hygiene, Erdoğan said that unless the measures were followed, the spread of the virus would inevitably continue, especially in larger cities.

Erdoğan underscored that there were no infrastructural problems in the medical area, and that all hospitals ran smoothly.

Local and global demand for Canal Istanbul

On today’s board of directors meeting of the Turkey Wealth Fund, Erdoğan said: “In the period ahead, we want to place the Wealth Fund at a distinguished position globally. For example, the visit the Qatar Emir paid to Turkey yesterday was actually one of the steps.”

“The largest project before us is the Canal Istanbul Project, which I call my crazy project. The demands for the Canal Istanbul are rising intensively at both local and global level. There is no pause whatsoever in our investments. Our infrastructure and superstructure investments continue. The number one and most noteworthy project among them is the Canal Istanbul Project. The architectural and technical aspects of the project are ready.”

“With the Canal Istanbul Project, Istanbul will have a very different outlook and power internationally,” Erdoğan noted. (ILKHA)
