Yemeni forces hit Saudi Aramco facility with missile
The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Yemeni troops fired Monday a 'Quds 2' rocket at a distribution station of Saudi Aramco oil company in the Red Sea city of Jeddah.
Sarie announced that the Yemeni force targeted an Aramco distribution station in Jeddah with a winged missile, Quds 2, which is announced for the first time.
The targets were hit with high accuracy, and ambulances and firefighting vehicles rushed to the targeted place, Sarie said in a press statement at dawn on Monday.
The attack comes in response to the continuation of the siege and the war on Yemen and in the context of what the Yemeni Armed Forces promised days before the implementation of large-scale operations in the depths of Saudi Arabia.
Various human rights organizations have accused Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen, of human rights violations and some have gone as far as accusing the coalition of war crimes.
The Saudi-led coalition’s bombing campaign has so far killed or injured an estimated 18,455 civilians as of November 2020 according to the Yemen Data Project. (ILKHA)
