Brazil reports 138 new deaths from COVID-19
The number of confirmed cases has reached 5,863,093 in the country, an increase of 14,134 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the country’s Health Ministry.
Brazil is the third-hardest hit by the virus worldwide after the United States and India.
138 more people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 165,811.
More than 5,291,511 patients suffering from coronavirus have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
Sao Paulo, the country’s most-populated state, continues to be the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil.
The state has so far reported more than 1,12 million confirmed coronavirus cases, with at least 39,311 deaths. (ILKHA)
