Iran reports 10,463 daily confirmed cases of COVID-19
After 10,463 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 692,949 in Iran, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Monday.
458 more people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours in the country, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 38,749.
There are at least 5,561 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 525,641 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 5,263,173 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,263,602 with 50,828,987 cases and more than 35,843,265 recoveries. (ILKHA)
