Coronavirus in Palestine: 6 deaths, 540 new cases within 24 hours
Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health in Ramallah, reported on Sunday that 6 deaths, 540 new cases of coronavirus, and 464 recoveries had been recorded over the past 24 hours.
She stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new deaths were recorded for a female citizen from Al-Yamoun in Jenin, another female from Askar camp, and a woman from Asira Al-Shamalia in Nablus in addition to a man from Tulkarem, and a male citizen from al-Khalil.
The new infections were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil (75), Nablus (103), Bethlehem (39), Qalqilya (4), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (49), Jenin (32), Jericho and Al-Aghwar (12), Salfit (4), Tulkarem (27), Tubas (3), the Gaza Strip (185), and the suburbs of Jerusalem (7).
The recovery cases were recorded as follows: al-Khalil (73), Salfit (12), Jenin (40), Bethlehem (113), Tulkarem (35), Tubas (2), and Gaza (189).
The recovery rate of coronavirus reached 88.4 percent while the rate of active cases reached 10.7 percent, and the death rate was 0.9% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 35 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 8 who have been placed on ventilators. (ILKHA)
