Death toll from Turkey’s earthquake reaches 69
Turkey’s death toll from the massive magnitude 6.6 quake that hit Izmir province on Friday rose to 69, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said on Sunday.

885 people were injured in the earthquake, of those, 229 are being treated in hospital at the moment, it noted.
It added that search and rescue efforts to recover people trapped under the rubble continued at 9 collapsed or damaged buildings. (ILKHA)
