Coronavirus: Iran reports 5,960 new cases, 337 deaths in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 337 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 32,953, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Monday.
After 5,960 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 574,856 in the country.
There are at least 4,982 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 459,250 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 4,753,357 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,159,835 with 43,405,696 cases and more than 31,935,211 recoveries. (ILKHA)
