Coronavirus: Iran reports 6,134 new cases, 335 deaths in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 335 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 31,985, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Friday.
After 6,134 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 556,891 in the country.
There are at least 4,933 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 446,685 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 4,658,727 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,144,270 with 42,089,023 cases and more than 31,233,502 recoveries. (ILKHA)
