Brazil’s coronavirus death toll rises to 155,459
The number of confirmed cases has reached 5,300,649 in the country, an increase of 25,832 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the country’s Health Ministry.
Brazil is the third-hardest hit by the virus worldwide after the United States and India.
571 more people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 155,459.
More than 4,756,489 patients suffering from coronavirus have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
Sao Paulo, the country’s most-populated state, continues to be the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil.
The state has so far reported more than 1.07 million confirmed coronavirus cases, with at least 38,371 deaths. (ILKHA)
