Coronavirus: Iran reports 4,108 new cases, 254 deaths in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 254 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 29,070, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Tuesday.
After 4,108 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 598,389 in the country.
There are at least 4,570 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 411,840 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 4,369,622 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,086,412 with 38,098,467 cases and more than 38,098,467 recoveries. (ILKHA)
