210 more people have died of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 28,098.

There are at least 4,392 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 401,379 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

So far, more than 4,232,064 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.

According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,067,551 with 36,802,545 cases and more than 27,696,565 recoveries. (ILKHA)
