United States: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases reaches 7,780,586
932 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United States’ death toll from the virus to 216,889, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by Brazil with 148,304 deaths, India with 105,554 deaths and Mexico with 82,726 deaths.
7,780,586 people have until now tested positive for coronavirus in the country, an increase of 48,715 new cases in the past 24 hours.
Until now, at least 4,983,380 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
At least 114,158,849 tests have been carried out to detect coronavirus infections in the country.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 503,290 confirmed cases, with at least 33,356 deaths.
According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of at least 1,061,779 people across the world. (ILKHA)
