31 Azerbaijani civilians killed in Armenian attacks
31 Azerbaijani civilians have so far been killed in Armenian military forces’ attacks, Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan said in a written statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, 31 civilians, including three children and nine women, were killed, 148 civilians were seriously injured, a total of 778 houses and 117 civil facilities were destroyed due to the Armenian military aggression since September 27.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that Armenia’s leadership must be held accountable for the bombardment of Azerbaijani cities and villages using ballistic missiles.
“Armenian armed forces’ bombardment of our cities and villages using ballistic missiles amount to a war crime. Armenia’s leadership must be held accountable for that,” Aliyev said in a Tweet.
Heavy fighting between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces erupted in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region on September 27.
Two sides reported that there were dead and wounded both among civilians and military personnel in the clashes. (ILKHA)
