Coronavirus: Iran reports 3,902 new cases, 235 deaths in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 235 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 27,192, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Monday.
After 3,902 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 475,674 in the country.
There are at least 4,167 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 392,293 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 4,100,000 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,042,982 with 35,470,076 cases and more than 26,679,906 recoveries. (ILKHA)
