At least 15 civilians killed in a bomb explosion in Afghanistan
At least 15 civilians, including children and women, have been killed in a bomb explosion in Afghanistan's central Daikundi province, the spokesperson of the Afghanistan Interior Ministry Tariq Arian announced on Tuesday.
The incident occurred took place at 9.20 am in the Kijran district, where the minivan carrying around 18 civilians to a shrine came under attack.
15 civilians, including six children and seven women were killed and another three children injured, according to the local officials.
Since 2001 when the United States invaded Afghanistan, over 100,000 people have been killed in the war, including more than 4,000 ISAF soldiers and civilian contractors, more than 62,000 Afghan national security forces, 31,000 civilians and even more Taliban members. (ILKHA)
