207 more people have died of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 25,986.

There are at least 4,079 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 378,727 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

So far, more than 3,986,720 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.

According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,006,985 with 33,581,042 cases and more than 24,899,699 recoveries. (ILKHA)
