A military jet crashes in Serbia
The MiG-21 aircraft of the Serbian Armed Forces crashed Friday in western Serbia near the country’s border with Bosnia, the Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
“The MiG-21 aircraft of the Serbian Armed Forces, which crashed this morning around 9.10 in the village of Brasina near Mali Zvornik while performing a regular flight task, was inspected before the flight this morning, in accordance with all procedures, and after the inspection it was determined that it was in good working order and ready for flight,” the statement said.
“Competent investigative bodies are at the scene of the accident. An investigation is underway,” it added.
According to local media, the jet crashed into the yard of a house in a village and one of the pilots died and a villager was injured. (ILKHA)
