2 Afghan pilots killed in a military helicopter crash
Two pilots were killed after an Afghan National Army (ANA) helicopter crashed in northern Baghlan province on Thursday.
According to the statement from the country’s Defense Ministry, the helicopter crashed because of technical issues in the Kaparak area of Pul-e-Khumri city.
“An Afghan Air Force MD 530 helicopter crashed in Pul-e Khumri city of Baghlan province today due to technical issues. The helicopter crashed in Kaparak area. Unfortunately, two pilots were martyred,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Defense is investigating the technical issues which resulted in the crash. (ILKHA)
