The number of daily confirmed coronavirus cases rises to 3,605 in Iran
After 3,605 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 432,798 in the country, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Wednesday.
184 more people have died of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 24,840.
There are at least 3,948 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 365,846 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 3,828,330 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 976,363 with 31,830,684 cases and more than 23,431,780 recoveries. (ILKHA)
