Hanna: Defending J’lem is a spiritual, human and patriotic duty
Father Atallah Hanna has stressed the importance of defending Occupied Jerusalem and its holy sites, describing it as a spiritual, human and patriotic duty.
“The sons and daughters of the holy city feel honored to fulfill this duty in the name of our people and nation. They are on the frontlines defending Jerusalem, its holy sites and mortmain property, which are being targeted and desecrated,” Father Hanna, Archbishop of the Palestinian Orthodox Church in Occupied Jerusalem, said in press remarks on Monday.
“We are going through difficult times when it has become necessary to emphasize the importance of Muslim-Christian solidarity, cooperation and communication because those who are targeting the Islamic holy sites are the same people who are targeting our Christian mortmain property,” the Archbishop added.
He called on some parties to reconsider their positions and transcend political differences for the sake of Jerusalem and its holy sites. (ILKHA)
