Non-domestic producer price index increases by 30.23% annually in Turkey
Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) has increased by 30.23% annually and 7.46% monthly, Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.
ND-PPI (2010=100) increased by 7.46% monthly, by 25.98% on December of the previous year, by 30.23% on same month of the previous year and by 9.95% on the twelve months moving averages basis in August 2020.
Manufacturing increased by 30.19% annually
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 32.35% for mining and quarrying, by 30.19% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 28.95% for intermediate goods, by 37.83% for durable consumer goods, by 29.33% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 24.14% for energy, increased by 35.99% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing increased by 7.41% monthly
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 10.26% for mining and quarrying, by 7.41% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 7.52% for intermediate goods, by 6.62% for durable consumer goods, by 6.89% for non-durable consumer goods, by 3.76% for energy, by 8.33% for capital goods, monthly.
The only annual decrease was in coke and refined petroleum products by 24.14%
The only rate of annual decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry was for coke and refined petroleum products by 24.14%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other manufactured goods by 58.55%, for tobacco products by 41.73%, for metal ores by 37.66%.
The lowest monthly increase was in coke and refined petroleum products by 3.76%
The lowest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 3.76%, for printing and recording services by 4.13%, for computer, electronic and optical products by 4.18%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for metal ores by 15.75%, for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 8.96%, for other manufactured goods by 8.74%.
