United States reports 31,857 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours
392 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United States’ death toll from the virus to 198,520, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by Brazil with 131,663 deaths, India with 79,754 deaths and Mexico with 70,604 deaths.
6,708,458 people have until now tested positive for coronavirus in the country, an increase of 35,244 new cases in the past 24 hours.
Until now, at least 3,974,949 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
At least 92,403,500 tests have been carried out to detect coronavirus infections in the country.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 477,606 confirmed cases, with at least 33,116 deaths.
According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of at least 929,172 people across the world. (ILKHA)
