In a press release, HAMAS Spokesman Hazem Qasem said: “The increasing infections from the novel virus posed a real threat to the lives of Palestinian prisoners.”

He added: “The israeli Prison Services intentionally prevents the entry of the medical and hygiene equipment needed for the protection from the virus.”

“This is added to the medical negligence policy in place since before the outbreak of the pandemic inside the israeli jails.”

Qasem called for all international human rights groups to immediately intervene to provide the needed protection for the Palestinian prisoners inside israeli jails. (ILKHA)
